About the Reno Air Races

Darkstar Air Racing • Reno Air Races 2015

The Reno Air Races, officially known as the National Championship Air Races is the longest running air race and the only closed course pylon race event. Six different race plane classes battle just 60 feet from the ground, with the Unlimited and Jet classes reaching speeds over 500 mph! That’s right, we said 60 feet! These girls can’t wait to head to Reno to compete in this year’s race. We mean business!

Our team, Darkstar Air Racing will be competing in the Jet class in the most amazing, jaw dropping jet — the L139. Not to mention that this is the world’s only Aero Vodochody L139! This one of a kind jet is worth the wait, not to mention a spectacular example of fighter jet.

Besides the on-your-feet action of the races, spectators have close-up access to racing aircraft, pilots and crews in the “pits.” Come meet this world class A team at the 53rd Annual National Championship Air Races! There’s a world-class air show, military display and demonstrations, aircraft display and great concessions. Until then, check out the video from last year’s races.
